"La rêveuse" is a contemporary, unique and original artwork made with acrylic paint on linen canvas. This expressionist portrait is part of my series of zoomed portraits. The choice of the close-up to increase the face-to-face effect, also to work the textures more freely. For the face of this woman, with her calm and peaceful expression, which one can imagine dreaming, I wanted to play between abstraction and figuration by breaking up the facies, constructing through deconstruction. I called it "La rêveuse" (the dreamer), emphasizing this bridge between figurative and abstract. I do not seek to represent reality, but to create a harmony of shapes and colors in the portrait.
