Echo of forgotten dreams, Echo in the deepest night, Climbing along the stairs to the rainbow. Halo dimmed under the full moon. Orange and yellow rays floating at the horizon Elevated to a tomorrow that frightens me. Seeing that yesterday’s tears are wet on my cheeks. Overdosed on the reality that crushes all hope. Finding a route covered in shards of unloved hearts. Forsaken in the wilderness Obliterated by an enormous snowball Rejected by the world and its sins. Gone to never look back. Down by the river, the wind blows sweeter even in winter it keeps its tune. Running along the path to the top but will I make it before busting my lungs Especially now as alone I go, and my shoes are too new for comfort. Anticipating to rest once I arrive in the middle of a dark evening, The middle route would have been safer and gentler, but I just need to forget Sometimes rushing along is like cleaning the senses from long forgotten lies.
