Interessante è lo scorcio narrativo che l'artista articola nell'opera, la quale diviene una finestra sul mondo. In particolare Cervelli da vita ad un frammento prospettico del Borgo Toscano, catturando quei dettagli salienti offerti dall'assetto naturalistico e traslitterandoli in materia pittorica su tela. Magistrale è la commistione tra architettura paesaggistica - frutto della presenza umana sulla terra - e la natura che da vita alle suggestioni nell'animo dell'artista.
