Monochromatic Chaos
For this painting I have found inspiration during one of my visits to the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Antwerp, where a large-scale painting of Engelbert Van Anderlecht titled “Dode rede” had caught my attention. I have built it up on texture paste that I have dyed with black and white acrylics and spread over the canvas and structured with a plastic tool usually used by tilers. After drying I have added black and white accents in acrylics and dripped black and white enamel paint onto it. For the finish I have given it a gloss varnish.
