I’m excited to introduce my latest acrylic portrait, Dana. This piece measures 40 by 30 inches with a 1 1/2-inch gallery wrap, and it’s all about color coming together in unexpected ways. I layered bold, vibrant strokes—reds, yellows, greens, blues, purples, pinks, and blacks—to build a face that’s both abstract and expressive. The eyes are simple but striking in white, and the lips stand out with a crisp red outline filled with solid pink. The hair flows naturally, painted in warm browns with golden highlights against a calm light blue background. Creating Dana was a joyful exercise in letting color lead the way and celebrating the energy that portraiture can bring.
