Chesapeake Day At the Races… Racing Sailboats was painted during an art show and artist talk (A Taste of Georgetown) in the heart of Georgetown, DC. I was inspired to paint the image after watching a regatta from a boat really close up. I was amazed that the boats didn’t knock into each other when it was time to turn around the buoys. Imagine living on the bay, the ocean or your own boat and seeing this as you look out your window.
