The artist soul takes many years to settle in a new environment and to accept dramatic changes, children moving on one after the other, the death of the last parent, finding the ideal place to call home, and slowly integrating in new surroundings, My attempts of still live drawing were put on the back burner under an unlight fire. And for years, I was building roots. Finding ways to settle in parameters unknown. Re-defining what I loved doing. I discovered writing beyond list making and messages on the internet, fleeting messages who never disappear, and follow us or so we are told and some form of journaling, which was mostly a regurgitation of life’s unfairness and the despair of the boredom of every day. Now I am at a stage where writing and drawing communicate and feed off each other. They stimulate and blow new life into each other. In my world now I can’t imagine one without the other. The word made image or the image telling a story to be written down and I am settled for now
