Deconstruction of an onion

We peel and we peel layers of onions and cry some, layers of our lives and cries a lot at times, for weeks on end. I always like that image of the onion being cleaned, having layers taken off till you reach the right mix of smell and texture. And you know that is enough peeling. By looking at the thickness of the new crop in Autumn you can see how cold and long the Winter will be, my grandad used to know. The longer we peel at ourselves the closer we get to our core. We get to met ourselves. A mixture of acrylics, ink, ball pen and felt tip, oil patels on A1 paper.
