Toward the Unknown

The thing I love about abstract art is that the viewer brings his or her own history to the process. The viewer can see things in a non-representational work of art that maybe the artist never intended to portray. That is why I titled this piece “Into the Unknown”, because I really don’t know what the viewer will see in the piece, and how the viewer will be affected by the art. This artwork is a limited edition of 10. As a digital artist, I set out to use the highest quality, highest definition acrylic prints on the market. Each one of my artworks is individually hand crafted. To create this type of high-end acrylic prints, it is essential to use the face-mounting method. My printing firm prints my artwork onto a high-resolution paper, such as Moab Slickrock Metallic photo paper. This paper gives my artwork a luminous appearance when lit from the front! Finally, using a clear, archival adhesive, they mount my art directly onto the acrylic. My printing firm uses a high-quality UV resistant “cast” acrylic, which provides more rigidity and prevents my artwork from yellowing over time. For the finishing touch they polish the edges of my artwork to create a diamond finish. The artwork is ready to hang and needs no framing.
