Tyrolienne (Monochrome)

In this painting, I'm offering you an experience, a vision: a being in colour, alive, bathed in light, coming to life in an environment that is devoid of colour but full of texture. To detach the model from her landscape, I have reproduced the ‘bokeh’ technique borrowed from photography. Small points of light become like tiny spotlights, highlighting the subject in the photograph. The black and white background acts as a divide between two eras, between the living and the inanimate.
